Kaitlyn Gilkey had one of those goals you had to see to believe Tuesday night.

“We were able to go on top with a beautiful upper 90 goal by Kaitlyn Gilkey,” coach Mauricio Maciel said. “We dominated the match after that, but as we were not able to score a second goal. North Little Rock was able to get some confidence and was able to score.”

The Lady Bears eventually tied the game won it in PKs on keeper Debbie Rangel’s two saves.

The Grizzlies (3-2 in 6A-Central play) are starting to heat up.

Christian Chavez scored twice in the team’s 5-0 win over NLR on Tuesday. The Grizzlies broke it open by scoring three goals in a 10-minute span in the second half.

“The first half we had 90 percent of possessions and created chances,” Maciel said. “We are starting to find the best personnel in their best positions, which started with that great win (4-0) on the road against a good Conway team last Friday.”

Along with Chavez, Luis Paredes, Jarvin Nieto and Ricky Iturruiga each scored a goal.
