The Northside Grizzlies started off strong Tuesday night in Conway, scoring the game’s first 13 points.

However, the Wampus Cats were able to finish, rallying to defeat the Grizzlies, 46-45, in 6A-Central action.

Northside (11-7, 2-2) also took a 15-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and were up 21-19 at halftime. The Grizzlies still led through three quarters, 38-32, but were outscored by Conway in the fourth, 14-7.

The Grizzlies had three players with 10 points apiece in Jaylin Williams, Noah Gordon and Anthony Travis.

Williams also finished with a double-double as he grabbed 11 rebounds to go with three blocks and two assists. Gordon recorded eight rebounds, and Travis had four assists.

Northside returns home on Friday to take on North Little Rock.
