Jake Wright’s one-out RBI single gave the Bryant Hornets a 1-0 win over the Southside Mavericks Friday in 7A-Central play.

The Mavericks (6-9, 0-4) managed just three singles against Bryant winner Will Mcentire. Mcentire struck out 10 and walked just one.

Brock Thibodeaux had two hits for Southside.

Stratton Whittington was the losing pitcher.
